Update!

It's been awhile since i've posted. However things have been kinda crazy and kinda off the past few months, so i'm okay with it. *smiles*. After being laid off for four months now i'm finally back to work, can't say it's the best gig ever but it's a job so i'll take it.

I have a few makeup projects that i've been working on, and will soon have awesome pics to post..

West 18th St. Fashion Show

I was able to do work for designer for the Crossroads 18th St. Fashion Show this summer.. I was able to work with the wonderful Jovana Mirabile.. this was her second year in the show and her designs are awesome.. I'm still trying to get a dress from her. *winks* All of the jewlery was created by designer Rachel Marie.

A Day with Toria and Rhonda!!!

This weekend I had a great opportunity to work with Toria of Envy Photography, she is on of my new favorite people ever!! Besides having the most positive energy she is a great photog. I'm in love with just about her entire port and I so cant wait to work with her again. I met Rhonda for the first time Saturday and she is the sweetest person, I'm glad i got to work with her and can't wait till next time.

The Muse Project

I had the opportunity to take part in the Muse Project.. it was a wonderful networking experience and i had a really good time. There were about 20 models male and female, i believe 11-13 photogs, and hair stylist and makeup artist. Each artist gets about an average of 5 models to work on for the day.. *so much fun*..

Me? Arrested!!!!

So yes it could have happened, we were doing a water shoot and well almost got arrested.. it was a great time..don't get me wrong.. and plenty of laughs about the whole thing.. but here's a couple of photos from it..
and yeah you'll see why we almost got arrested.. more so indecent exposure than playing in a city fountain *winks*

Oh Memorial Day

I was so bummed that I wasnt going to Miami for Mem. Day, but i got lucky and one of my best friends came to my rescue and came into town to hang with me..
I spent the whole weekend with her running around the city, visiting friends and her old co-workers. We ate alot (and my body is mad at me), I found the perfect location for my makeup artist studio, and i cant wait to get into it and make it happen.
I did find time the whole weekend to do a shoot for a new model, here's a couple of the pics below..







The shoot was a great time.. she was very fun to work with, and she actually reminds me of myself at her age *smiles* caus yea i'm getting old *winks*
The photog was also a new one, and I cant wait to work with him some more.. *shout out to Aaro Photography*

The Three Location Shoot

Last saturday i had a three location photo shoot with model Brooklen, and photog Dallas Kenny.

We started out at the Nelson Atkins in Kansas City, then traveled to Theis Park.. and let me tell you how hot it is in a concrete river when its 80 degrees outside.. HOT!.. well at least in the sun that is.. that location was pretty good.. lots of water, stairs, and good pics.. Not to mention the people driving by in awe that they were witnessing a real photo shoot.. *smiles*

Next location was Stowers Park, it's a great little spot to relax.. fountains, greenery, and my allergic reaction to some plant/tree made it a great time!!

Nothing like touching up a model while your nose is stuck on drip eh *grins*...

Finally we hit the West Bottoms of KC, this i think is my favorite location in the whole city, so many textures around it, the train tracks, abandoned warehouses, oh and dont forget the pigeons peeing on the model.. Classic!!

It was a good time.. i was wore all the hell out when it was over. I attempted a thirty minute power nap, that turned into an all nite nap.. So missed my little brothers graduation reception, and a good friends birthday party.. so as you can see i have lots to make up!!

No more Contacts!!

So for the past two weeks, I've been experiencing problems with my eyes.. they kept turning red either during or after my contact usage. So yesterday i went to the eye doc... and the verdict is..
I'm not to wear my contacts for at least a year! My eyes have finally started to reject them, who would've thought after three years, they'd just give up?!?!?

Now something most people don't really know about me till yesterday, I hate my glasses.. I feel absolutely ugly in them.. when Dr. T told me i was stuck wearing them, i broke down crying in his office, the car, my office when i got back to work, the car again, and at home (oh by the way, i really do cry alot at random things, just an fyi).. Now I have to dig deep somehow and find confidence that i can pull these glasses off for a year, it's gonna be tough. I have no desire to be in them, and would rather not be visually correct just to get rid of them.. So I guess we'll just have to see how this goes, huh...
